Dear
friends our Mom always said to eat more vegetables. But we never think why she
is saying about this daily? Today I am
going to express my views about the Health benefits of vegetables. Vegetables
and fruits are high in fiber. The main function of fiber is to keep the
digestive system healthy and functioning properly. Vegetables like fruits are low in fat. Contain
good amounts of vitamins and minerals.
Leafy
vegetables are ideal for weight management. They are useful in reducing the
risk of cancer and heart disease. Most vegetables do not have cholesterol.
Different
vegetables are high in a variety of vitamins and minerals.
There
is very strong scientific base suggesting that fruits and vegetables are
protective elements for some of the cancers. A
plant based diet with lots of fruits and vegetables can reduce the risk of
heart disease. In a 20-year study of
832 middle-aged men, it was found the risk of stroke was very low in those who
eating vegetable only.
There
are some vegetables that we can plant in our home. Tomato, Radish, beet root, carrot, Peas,
pepper, onion, beans, garlic are some of the vegetables that can be easy to
grow in our home. Growing our own vegetable in our home leads to
